Privacy Policy
A plain-language explanation of what stays on your device, what the app does not collect, and what happens only when you choose to share or contact support.
Responsible entity and scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Stuart Project Mosaic Android application, package org.utahstuartfoundation.projectmosaic, published for THE STUART FOUNDATION. It explains the privacy practices of the installed app, including its planning workspaces, local Mosaic Cabinet, plain-text sharing feature, offline policy, and support-email action.
The responsible organization is THE STUART FOUNDATION, D-U-N-S® Number 141450541, EIN 39-2926198, located at 4104 HIDDEN RIDGE CIR, BOUNTIFUL, UT 84010. This page describes the current Android release. It does not describe the independent privacy practices of Android, a device manufacturer, an email provider, or an app a user may select from the system share chooser.
Information you choose to create
The app allows a user to create project-preparation content. Depending on which workspace is used, this may include a purpose draft, affected perspectives, unresolved questions, project boundaries, listening questions, a neutral listening summary, challenge-and-asset notes, activity and output descriptions, hoped-for changes, assumptions, learning signals, possible partner roles, decision responsibilities, access barriers, non-sensitive safeguarding notes, resource constraints, adaptations, and next questions.
A user may also select checklist items or working labels, such as a project stage, scope posture, or evidence-confidence description. These entries are voluntary. The app does not require every field to be completed and does not use blank or completed fields to calculate a score.
How local information is used
Information entered in the app is processed locally to display the text and selections back to the user, preserve the draft between app sessions, allow later revision, assemble saved pieces in the Mosaic Cabinet, create an optional plain-text export, and carry out a user-requested deletion.
The app does not use these entries to rank people, determine eligibility, predict project success, make funding or award decisions, build an advertising profile, personalize advertising, or train a publisher-operated model. There is no automated decision system in the app.
Information not collected by the publisher
The publisher does not collect through the app a user’s name, postal address, telephone number, email address, account credentials, contacts, calendar, photos, videos, audio recordings, precise or approximate location, browsing history, search history, installed-app list, device identifiers, advertising identifier, payment information, financial account details, health information, biometric information, government identifiers, grant applications, donation records, or beneficiary files.
The publisher also does not receive analytics events, crash telemetry, diagnostic logs, engagement measurements, attribution data, or a copy of device-only drafts through an app-operated service. Users should nevertheless avoid typing sensitive personal or case information into free-text fields, as explained in Section 9.
Accounts, servers, and network access
Stuart Project Mosaic has no registration process, user account, login wall, subscription profile, publisher database, cloud synchronization, remote backup service, or publisher-operated application server. The Android manifest does not request Internet permission, so the app itself cannot use the network to upload planning entries.
Because there is no account, the publisher does not maintain an online profile or server-side record associated with the user. The public website containing this policy is separate from the installed app and does not turn local app drafts into online content.
Permissions and device features
The app requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, phone, SMS, notification, nearby-device, advertising, external-storage, or background-service permission. Its core workspaces use ordinary on-screen controls and app-private preferences.
Two user-initiated actions can open Android system components. “Share a copy” opens the system share chooser with text prepared from locally saved entries. “Email support” opens an installed email application using a mail address and subject line. These actions do not give Stuart Project Mosaic access to the destination app’s account, inbox, contacts, or transmission process.
SDKs, advertising, analytics, and tracking
The app does not include an advertising SDK, analytics SDK, attribution SDK, social login SDK, payment SDK, location SDK, remote-crash-reporting SDK, or third-party profiling technology. It does not display ads, sell data, conduct cross-app tracking, or create advertising audiences.
Standard Android and AndroidX components, including Jetpack Compose, are used to render the interface, manage app lifecycle behavior, and invoke user-selected Android system actions. In this app configuration, those components are not used to send project entries to the publisher.
Sharing, email, and third-party destinations
The app does not automatically disclose or transmit a user’s drafts. If a user taps “Share a copy,” the app prepares a plain-text summary and asks Android to show compatible destination apps. Nothing is sent until the user chooses a destination and completes the action there. Users should review the generated text and intended recipient before sending it.
If a user taps “Email support,” the app opens a selected email client addressed to KruegerCasectmbibg@gmail.com. The email client—not Stuart Project Mosaic—handles the account, message, attachment choices, and delivery. Information voluntarily sent to support is processed for responding to that communication. The privacy policy of the selected share or email service applies once information is provided to it.
Children and sensitive information
The app is designed as a project-preparation tool for adults age 18 and over. It is not directed to children and is not designed to create child accounts or gather children’s personal information.
Do not enter child profiles, participant names, photographs, custody information, allegations, medical or disability records, protected-case information, passwords, government identifiers, financial account details, confidential beneficiary files, or emergency information. The Safeguard Tile is a preparation checklist, not a reporting, case-management, or emergency-response system. Approved organizational procedures and appropriate emergency services should be used outside the app.
Educational and service boundaries
Stuart Project Mosaic is an educational planning aid. It is not a grant application portal, funding solicitation, donation service, open-call announcement, eligibility check, award decision, applicant review system, outcome guarantee, certification, or official record-keeping service.
Its prompts do not replace legal, tax, financial, accounting, medical, accessibility, safeguarding, emergency, or other professional advice. A checklist selection does not establish compliance, consent, safety, readiness, partnership, funding eligibility, or project effectiveness. Users remain responsible for appropriate review, professional input, and approved procedures outside the app.
Storage and retention
Text entries, checklist states, and selected labels are stored in Android app-private preferences on the device. They remain there until the user edits or removes them, uses the in-app deletion control, clears the app’s storage through Android settings, or uninstalls the app.
The publisher does not set a server-side retention period because it does not receive or retain a server copy through the app. A copy intentionally shared to another app may remain in that app or with its recipient according to their settings, retention rules, and deletion controls.
Deletion and user choices
Users control whether to enter information, which prompts to complete, whether to revise a draft, whether to create a share copy, and whether to contact support. To erase all saved drafts and checklist selections from the current installation, open the in-app Privacy Policy workspace, tap “Delete All Local Data,” and confirm the deletion.
Clearing the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app also removes its local data. Because the app creates no online account, account deletion is not applicable. The publisher cannot remotely inspect or erase information that remains only in the app-private storage of a user’s device.
Security, backup, and transfer
The app relies on Android app-private storage, which is designed to limit ordinary access by other apps. Android backup and device-to-device extraction are disabled in the app configuration. No network permission and no publisher server reduce the paths through which local drafts could leave the app automatically.
No device or storage method can be guaranteed absolutely secure. Device access, screen capture, malicious software, operating-system compromise, a modified device, or a user-directed export may expose information. Users should protect their device with appropriate access controls, avoid sensitive entries, review exports, and send copies only to intended destinations.
Policy changes and contact
This policy may be updated if the app’s functionality or privacy practices change, or if clarification is needed. A revised version will show a new effective or updated date on this page. Where an app change materially affects local data handling, corresponding information will be included in an app update or its public policy materials.
